One-year MASTER OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION (MPA)
Mid-career Program
(NCPAG MPA-Plan C)
The National College of Public Administration and Governance (NCPAG) is inviting mid-career supervisors interested in accelerating their professional growth by applying to the College’s 1-year MPA mid-career program (MPA-Plan C).
The program is designed to broaden the knowledge of mid-career public administrators on the theories and techniques of public management while giving them the opportunity to network with other colleagues in public service. To complete the program in one year, the student should be a full-time student starting on the summer term (April-May).
ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION
The mid-Career Program is designed for public servants who:
- Have been employed at least 15 years in a government, non-government or private organization with at least five (5) years of supervisory work experience (division chief level or its equivalent)
- Are 35 years of age or older;
- Completed a Bachelors Degree
Applicant must submit the following:
- Application for admission form duly accomplished
- Letter of application
- Transcript of records (one original and one photocopy)
- Two (2) 2 x 2 inch picture
- Certified true copy of the birth certificate (original and one photo copy)
- A photocopy of marriage contract
- Two recommendations for admission duly filled out by competent individuals who are in the best position to assess applicant’s potential for graduate work
- TOEFL (for foreign applicants only)
- Service record
Applicants will be interviewed by a panel as part of the Plan C admission process.
Application Procedure:
- Secure Application Form from Center for Public Administration and Governance Education and Governance (CPAGE) office, Room 103 or download application HERE.
- Pay the application and processing fee ( PhP 500.00 for local; US$20 for foreign)
- Submit application form and other required documents to the CPAGE office.
Applications are now accepted at the Center for Public Administration and Governance Education (CPAGE). The deadline for application for the program is on March 15, 2009.
Classes start April 14, 2009.
PROGRAM SCHEDULE
A student must successfully complete 30 units of formal course work. Upon obtaining a weighted average of at least 2.00 in all courses taken, the student must defend two outstanding papers before a faculty panel.

Scholarships available
This MPA program is ideal when combined with the government’s Local Scholarship Program – Masteral Degree (LSP -MD) administered by the Civil Service Commission ( see http://www.csc.gov.ph/cscweb/scholarship.html ).
