Effectivity: FIRST SEMESTER, ACADEMIC YEAR 2011-2012


A. RULES ON GRANT OF BENEFITS TO BAPA STUDENTS

1. QUALIFICATIONS

 

The BAPA student applicant must:

a. Be a bonafide THIRD-to-FOURTH YEAR BAPA student.

b. Must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action.

c. Have a general weighted average of at least “2.5” with no grade of “5.0”, “Dropped”, unremoved “4.0” or “INC” in the semester immediately preceding the application.

d. Must carry an academic credit load of at least 15 at the time of the award of the grant,

e. INCOME REQUIREMENT -– must be financially needy (parents’ combined annual gross income must not exceed P500,000).

f. Not shift or transfer to another degree or college within or outside the university. If the student shifts to another course, he/she must return the full amount of the grant received.

g. Must not go on leave of absence. If the student files a Leave of Absence (LOA), the remaining amount of the grant shall not be released. If the student goes on Absence Without Leave (AWOL), he/she must return the full amount of the grant.

h. In the event the grantee is also a recipient of the Socialized Tuition and Financial Assistance Program (STFAP), the balance of the tuition fee that the grantee shall pay after applying the STFAP discount shall be charged against the grant. Where applicable, the remaining balance of the grant shall be released to the grantee as school allowance. In case the grantee is classified under STFAP Bracket E2, the entitlement to monthly stipend shall follow UP rules.

2. AMOUNT OF GRANT

Maximum scholarship benefits of P25,000.00 per semester (P50,000.00 per year), subject to university and college rules on scholarships.

3. NCPAG Committee on Scholarships

The College Committee on Scholarships shall formulate the guidelines, screen applicants, and submit the list of qualified applicants to the Faculty Council for approval.


B. RULES ON GRANT OF BENEFITS TO GRADUATE STUDENTS (NON-THESIS) ENROLLED IN THE MPA OR DIPLOMA PROGRAM


1. QUALIFICATIONS

a. Must be a bonafide MPA or Diploma in Public Management student of NCPAG

b. Must carry an academic credit load of at least six (6) units

c. Income requirement: financially needy

d. Must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action.


2. AMOUNT OF GRANT(MPA/DIPPM)

a. Tuition fees

b. Book allowance of P5,000 per semester

 

C. RULES ON GRANT OF BENEFITS TO GRADUATE STUDENTS ENROLLED IN PA 300 OR PA 400

1. QUALIFICATIONS

a. Must be a bonafide MPA and DPA student of NCPAG

b. Must be enrolled in PA 300 or PA 400

c. Must have a Committee-approved thesis/dissertation proposal:

d. Income requirement: financially needy

e. Must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action.

2. AMOUNT OF GRANT

Maximum scholarship benefits of P50,000 per grantee

3. NCPAG Committee on Scholarships

The College Committee on Scholarships shall formulate the guidelines, screen applicants, and submit the list of qualified applicants to the Faculty Council for approval.
